Sealants

Once WILKINS PowerClean has treated your patio or driveway (hard surfaces only), you might like to protect it by ‘sealing’ the look. A sealant will also ‘set’ the sand in block paving, and offers increased protection to the surface. See below for sealants suitable for Block Paving, Patio and Paving Slabs, Imprinted Concrete and Tarmac.

• Unless there are severe, continued, local weather conditions, sealing will generally last a minimum of 12 months for most treatments, although some more specialised sealants may last for up to 5 years.
• Pease note that sealant work can only be performed on a pre-cleaned surface and timing is subject to the weather! (The area to be treated must be totally dry and there should be no rain forecast for at least 24 hours.)

 There are a number of options for block paving sealants…

• Resiblock All Purpose Sealant

• This sealant will protect paving for 1 to 2 years (depending on local weather conditions!). It protects the surface, ensuring there is no loss of jointing sand and it slows down the return of future weed growth in between paving joints.  The advantage of this sealant is that it only takes one coat and, since it must be applied when weather conditions are dry, the window of opportunity for application is greater!

• Resiblock Superior Sealant

• This sealant is a urethane based sealant, applied in 2 coats and is available in a wet look or matt finish. This will also protect the surface, sealing the jointing sand, and preventing the return of weeds. In addition, for the life of the sealant, this will eliminate algae and lichen growth  and offers a NO OIL STAINS GUARANTEE. It will protects your block paving for up to 5 years.

Resiblock Resimac

Tarmac that is worn and stained can be very expensive to replace. This product gives the tarmacadam surfaces a new lease of life and can dramatically enhance any old or new asphalt or tarmacadam surface. Requiring only 1 coat, it comes with a 2 year guarantee (currently this product is the only one available on the market with this guarantee). It’s environmentally friendly formula contains an anti fungal agent that delays the return of algae, and it is available in 4 different finishes – Black, Red, Green and Blue.

Resiblock Patioseal Environmental

This environmentally friendly sealant is a unique solvent free patio sealer suitable for use on most forms of concrete paving. It is applied in 1 or 2 coats depending on the surface to be sealed and the special formulation enhances appearance of the paving. It seals and protects the paving to help delay staining and weed growth re-occurrence and it protects and binds any jointing sand.

Resiblock PIC Sealant

This sealant is an acrylic sealer specifically designed for use on imprinted concrete and offers excellent results. It is Petrol, Diesel, Oil & Grease resistant, long lasting and hard wearing, and is available in a wet look or matt finish.
